How to Remove a Date from a Cell in Excel

Clearing Date Formatting

To remove date formatting from a cell in Excel, select the cell or range of cells with the date you wish to clear. Then, navigate to the Home tab, click on the arrow next to the Clear button, and choose Clear Formats. This action will strip the cell(s) of any date formatting.
