Save a Solver Model in Excel

Accessing Solver Parameters Dialog

To begin saving a Solver model in Excel, open the Solver Parameters dialog box. This is where you can manage model specifications.

Choosing the Save Location

Select a vertical range of empty cells in your worksheet. Enter the reference for the first cell of this range in the dialog box. This range will store the Solver model specifications.

Saving the Model Specifications

Use the Load/Save button within the Solver Parameters dialog box to save your model. Ensure the cell range is empty as this is where Excel will save the Solver model specifications.

Automatic Saving with Workbook

Excel automatically saves your Solver model selections for each worksheet when you save your workbook. This is done using the File tab, ensuring your Solver models are preserved.
