Saving Custom Themes

After adjusting the colors, save your customizations as a theme file with a .thmx extension. This allows you to reuse your custom theme across multiple workbooks.

Setting Custom Theme as Default

To set your custom theme as the default for all new workbooks, apply it to a blank workbook. Save this workbook as Book.xltx in the XLStart folder. Modify Excel startup settings via the General tab in the Excel options menu to automatically open new workbooks with your custom theme.
